Dear Saint Augusta community,

The City of Saint Augusta Fire Department is actively monitoring the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The safety of our residents, visitors, business and staff is of utmost importance. We are using information from Mayo Clinic Ambulance, Stearns County Public Health, the Minnesota Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In wake of COVID-19 responding to medical and fire calls, we will continue to respond like normal but with heightened precautions.

The City of Saint Augusta encourages everyone to take extra precautions and continue to practice the same measures you would to avoid colds and flu, including but not limited to:

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water

  2. Stay home when you are sick

  3. Cover your cough and sneezes (cough into your elbow or sleeve

  4. Do not touch your face

  5. Avoid shaking hands with people

  6. Try to keep at least 6’ distance between yourself and others

While regular business operations are still occurring please check the City’s website and social media regularly for updates.

SANITARY SEWER NOTICE

Due to the coronavirus concerns, there has been a shortage of toilet paper on store shelves.  This may cause people to look for alternative products such as paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, flushable wipes, and other similar items.  These products do not break down like toilet paper and can cause sanitary sewer backups, which in turn can cause additional public health concerns.  PLEASE DON’T FLUSH ITEMS OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER DOWN YOUR TOILET.
